The WHO on Dec 2nd tightened guidelines on wearing masks, recommending that they should be worn by everyone in healthcare facilities and for interactions in poorly-ventilated indoor spaces where Covid is spreading.

Wearing a mask should be normal part of being around other people. The appropriate use, storage and cleaning or disposal of masks are essential to make them as effective as possible.

In a more detailed advice published by WHO mentioned, people including kids aged 12 or over should wear masks in shops, workplaces and schools that lack proper ventilation and when receiving visitors at home.

WHO advises that people should not wear masks during vigorous intensity physical activity because masks may reduce the ability to breathe comfortably. For prevention maintain physical distancing of atleast 1 meter and ensure good ventilation when exercising.
