This article briefly describes the connection between nutrition and the immune system and thus susceptibility to viral infections and which nutritional recommendations are currently the most sensible for COVID-19 infections.

The benefits of supplements have not been established. The nutritional status is relevant to the prognosis in people with severe courses. Possibly. nutritional measures are to be taken. Obesity is a significant risk factor for a severe course requiring ventilation and for an unfavorable prognosis.
