World Heart Day 2019: Tune in to listen what different heart
Cardiovascular diseases (CVDs) take the lives of 17.9 million people every year, 31% of all global deaths. Triggering these diseases – which manifest primarily as heart attacks and strokes – are tobacco use, unhealthy diet, physical inactivity and the harmful use of alcohol. These, in turn, show up in people as raised blood pressure, elevated blood glucose and overweight and obesity, risks detrimental to good heart health.

What can we do as doctors on World Heart Day 2019 apart from educating our patients to take up a healthy lifestyle or prescribing statins or aspirin.

On this World Heart Day 2019, let us listen to what heart says when it is in dilemma (heart sounds and murmurs) in the case of Aortic stenosis, Mitral regurgitation, Pulmonic stenosis, Aortic insufficiency, Mitral stenosis, Atrial septal defect, Ventricular Septal Defect, Patent ductus arteriosus etc and be ready to detect what the next heart patient gives you to hear!
