A patient age 36 was diagnosed with only 22 natural teeth in oral cavity who came for amalgam restoration.
On further diagnosis and with the help of X-ray to check if there was any uneruppted teeth present in either of the jaws.
It was evaluated that there were no embedded uneruppted teeth present.
That is there was no initation of tooth bud from birth.
As such there were no problems in oral cavity.
These incidence is rare to occur or may be due to change in expression of genes or other factors.
