Latest report by the CDC says that the efficacy of vaccines against Covid infection has dropped from 91% in April to 78% in July after the Delta variant became dominant. Study reveals that fully vaccinated individuals are 5 times less likely to contract Covid, 10 times less likely to be hospitalized and 11 times less likely to die. There has not been any significant change in effectiveness against hospitalization and deaths. However, researchers say that these vaccines still protect recipients against the most severe outcomes linked to COVID-19, including the Delta variant.
