Marked exudation in the macula center of patients with advanced diabetic retinopathy is associated with significant visual loss, which may not improve with currently available treatments.This case series documented spectral domain optical coherence tomography (SD-OCT) diagnosis and clinical outcomes of two patients with diabetes-related severe macular exudation, which evolved into subretinal fibrosis.
