Researchers at MIT's Computer Science and Artifical Intelligence (CSAIL) have developed robots that are inspired by the art of origami. These bots are tiny in size but can wear various sheets like exoskeletons using magnetism and heat. It can combine suits as per the requirement and then takes it off in water. These sheets are moulded into different shapes so that it can allow the robot to fly, glide, float and scoop objects. This technology will help in performing different types of surgeries- like patch wounds, removing objects and taking samples and could be the next step towards having treatments without incisions.
