No evidence based study gives proper guideline for use of analgesics in a patient with chronic liver disorders. In general the patient should be avoided any prescription with opioids and NSaids all together. Acetaminophen/paracetamol can be given in lowest possible doses not exceeding 2/2.5g per day. And a specialist consent should be taken before proceeding with any form of treatment.

The only complication this drug showed in patient with liver cirrhosis was the increase in half life in plasma. so the taper in doses with prolonged intervals might be helpful. Also the renal profile of the patient can also be monitored for any adverse metabolic effects.
